Opening in December 2025, Rosewood Courchevel marks the brand’s debut winter resort and its second property in mainland France. Set within the prestigious Jardin Alpin enclave of Courchevel 1850, the hotel brings a fresh sense of sophistication to one of the world’s most celebrated ski destinations. Inspired by the glamour of the 1960s, the property merges nostalgic alpine elegance with a distinctly contemporary approach to hospitality.
Designed by Tristan Auer, the interiors are intimate yet refined, featuring natural materials such as timber, stone and copper. Every space feels thoughtfully considered, with sunlight spilling through large terraces framing panoramic views of the French Alps. Auer’s vision was to create the atmosphere of a private chalet rather than a conventional hotel, ensuring a sense of warmth and individuality throughout.
A new address in the French Alps

Rosewood Courchevel offers 51 rooms and suites, including three signature houses, each accommodating up to eight guests. These expansive residences are ideal for families or groups seeking privacy and space, with interconnecting options and generous living areas. The Jardin Alpin Apartment, the largest of the three, includes a private lift entrance, cinema room and professional kitchen, while curated artworks and mountain-facing terraces elevate the sense of home.
Art plays a central role across the property, with a striking installation by Olafur Eliasson titled Two harmonious yet different crystals sharing views and reflection. The work introduces a sense of movement and light that complements the surrounding landscape, adding a subtle layer of artistry to the resort’s aesthetic identity.

At the heart of the hotel lies a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant combining the flavours of the French and Italian Alps. During the day, the terrace offers sweeping views of the slopes, while guests enjoy classic dishes such as grilled meats and Savoyard fondue. As evening approaches, the ambience shifts into an elegant après-ski setting with a refined à la carte menu and live music, reflecting Rosewood’s signature approach to convivial dining.
Wellness and exploration in perfect balance
Beyond its design and cuisine, Rosewood Courchevel invites guests to embrace both adventure and restoration. The resort offers ski-in, ski-out access to Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest ski area, complemented by a dedicated Ski Concierge team curating bespoke experiences. From private dawn descents to secluded chalet dinners overlooking the peaks, each experience celebrates the spirit of alpine discovery.
Wellness is elevated through Asaya Spa, Rosewood’s holistic wellbeing concept making its alpine debut. Treatments include cryotherapy-based massages, sound baths and reiki sessions, as well as advanced facials by EviDenS de Beauté and Sodashi. Designed as a sanctuary for recovery after days on the slopes, the spa brings together modern techniques and natural serenity.
A refined retreat in Courchevel 1850

With its seamless blend of artistry, design and personalised service, Rosewood Courchevel introduces a new expression of mountain luxury. It captures the essence of the Alps while reimagining what a ski retreat can be – elegant, connected and deeply attuned to its surroundings. Reservations are now open ahead of its December 2025 debut, marking the beginning of a new chapter for winter hospitality in the French Alps.
