The Red Sea EDITION has officially opened as the first hotel on Shura Island, unveiling a new chapter in Saudi Arabia’s luxury hospitality landscape. The debut marks EDITION Hotels’ second property in the Kingdom following Jeddah EDITION and introduces guests to one of the region’s most pristine island environments. Bookings are available on their website from 1 November 2025, starting from SAR 1,852++ per night. This luxury boutique hotel represents a significant addition to the Kingdom’s growing hospitality landscape, offering guests access to one of the world’s most pristine marine environments.
A naturally stunning island destination

Shura Island serves as the central hub of The Red Sea destination, characterised by its distinctive dolphin shape and remarkable natural features. The island boasts lagoons, beaches, and dunes within an archipelago that hosts the world’s fourth largest barrier reef system. British architects Foster + Partners designed the island’s master plan, known as ‘Coral Bloom’, drawing inspiration from the thriving coral reefs that surround this exceptional location.
The development practices sustainable construction, utilising lightweight materials with low thermal mass that harmonise with the natural landscape. This approach reflects The Red Sea Global’s commitment to environmental stewardship whilst creating luxury travel experiences that respect the destination’s ecological significance.
Exceptional connectivity and accessibility

Reaching The Red Sea EDITION involves a scenic journey that includes crossing Saudi Arabia’s longest overwater bridge. The hotel sits one hour from Red Sea International Airport, connected to the mainland via a 3.3-kilometre crossing featuring a 1.2-kilometre internal bridge – the longest of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
Comprehensive luxury amenities

The Red Sea EDITION houses 240 elegantly designed rooms, including 53 spacious suites arranged across low stone and wooden pavilions that open directly onto white-sand beaches. Interiors feature natural oak, coral stone floors and earth walls designed by Rockwell Group, evoking the textures of canyons and reefs. The property features multiple dining concepts with various restaurants and bars, details of which are still under wraps.
A world-class spa anchors the wellness offerings, providing treatments including body wraps, couples massages, facials, and fitness classes. The facility focuses on relaxation, recovery, and re-energising experiences tailored to individual guest preferences. Additional amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness centre.
Watersports and recreational activities
The Red Sea EDITION capitalises on its extraordinary marine setting by offering unparalleled access to watersports and an 18-hole championship golf course. The surrounding waters provide opportunities for various aquatic activities, whilst the pristine coral reefs create ideal conditions for diving and snorkelling adventures.
Shura Island’s position as the main hub means it will eventually host 11 world-class resorts, luxury marinas, and various entertainment and leisure facilities. It aims to have all resorts open by early 2026.
