This edition of Prada Mode Abu Dhabi is conceptualised in collaboration with renowned artist Theaster Gates and explores the theme of “the reaffirmation of the minimal and analogue amidst the contemporary cultural dominance of technology and AI.” A specially designed central cylinder will serve as a performance space for intimate acoustic sets, while DJs and additional music performances will take place throughout the venue. The music programme is co-curated by Gates and NTS, a local radio and podcast studio founded by Femi Adeyemi, ensuring a carefully crafted soundscape that enhances the event’s immersive atmosphere.
The cultural programme, spearheaded by art consultant and strategist Myrna Ayad, will spotlight Arab women, bringing their perspectives to the forefront through discussions and creative engagements. This initiative aligns with Prada Mode Abu Dhabi’s ongoing mission to foster dialogue and showcase diverse artistic voices within dynamic settings.
Culinary excellence with a local touch
Food plays a central role in Prada Mode Abu Dhabi’s Abu Dhabi edition, with acclaimed chef Salam Daqqaq at the helm of the culinary experience. The founder of Dubai’s Bait Maryam and Sufret Maryam, Daqqaq is celebrated for her ability to capture the rich culinary traditions of the region. Her menu will spotlight the diverse food cultures of Abu Dhabi’s communities, offering guests a chance to explore authentic, locally inspired flavours in a contemporary setting.
A unique setting in MiZa

The choice of MiZa as the venue underscores Prada Mode Abu Dhabi’s affinity for spaces that are in transition, ones that bridge history with innovation. Situated in Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed Port area, MiZa is undergoing a significant transformation from an industrial port into a creative and cultural hotspot. The district now hosts warehouse spaces for emerging artists and entrepreneurs, blending its rugged industrial charm with new developments in arts, design, and lifestyle. The custom-built structure housing Prada Mode Abu Dhabi will reflect this evolving landscape, offering an intimate yet dynamic space for guests to experience the event’s multifaceted programming.
A legacy of cultural innovation
While this marks Prada Mode Abu Dhabi’s first event in Abu Dhabi, the initiative has already made its mark in the UAE. In 2022, Dubai hosted a Prada Mode Abu Dhabi edition at ICD Brookfield Place, featuring a striking Pharmacy-themed installation by British artist Damien Hirst. Since its inaugural event in Miami in 2018, Prada Mode Abu Dhabi has travelled to cultural capitals such as Los Angeles, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London, each time adapting to the unique character of its chosen location.
The Abu Dhabi edition continues this tradition, bringing together a distinguished roster of creatives, musicians, and culinary experts to create an immersive experience that celebrates art, music, and cultural dialogue. As MiZa continues to develop into a vibrant lifestyle destination, Prada Mode Abu Dhabi’s presence signals the district’s growing significance within the region’s artistic and cultural landscape.
For the first two days of the event (11-12 February), the space functions as a private members club, followed by two days open to the public (13-14 February). Admission to the two public days is complimentary, based on availability, register online to attend.
