On 7 December 2024, Dubai’s vibrant culinary scene will welcome Il Gattopardo Dubai, a new Italian dining destination set to open within ICD Brookfield Place. Perched on the 51st floor, the restaurant promises to deliver a refined and timeless Italian experience inspired by the elegance of the Italian Riviera.
Originally hailed in London, Il Gattopardo Dubai is part of D.ream’s portfolio that includes renowned establishments such as Coya, Amazónico and Zuma. It is designed to evoke the glamour of 1960s Italy, drawing on the era’s sense of sophistication. Guests will be greeted by a striking leopard sculpture at the entrance, a nod to the restaurant’s namesake novel, “Il Gattopardo” (The Leopard), setting the tone for an elegant yet daring experience. The venue will feature lowered dining areas, offering panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline, including the Burj Khalifa.
A taste of the Italian Riviera at Il Gattopardo Dubai

The restaurant’s interior has been crafted by acclaimed designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, blending the cosmopolitan charm of Milan with the warmth of Venice. Rich materials such as glossy wood, chrome accents, and distinctive leopard patterns combine with vintage-inspired glass partitions to create an intimate yet expansive atmosphere. Italian-inspired artworks and murals throughout the space pay tribute to the country’s design heritage, referencing legendary architects Gio Ponti and Carlo Scarpa.
Federico Colombo will lead the team at Il Gattopardo Dubai, with a full Italian staff ensuring authenticity across both the kitchen and the dining room. Executive chef Massimo Pasquarelli, a native of Abruzzo, brings over 25 years of experience to the table, offering a menu that celebrates classic Italian dishes with modern interpretations, all while spotlighting seasonal ingredients.
Authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist

Guests can expect traditional favourites such as arancini and bufala mozzarella, alongside signature pizzette like the tartufo, featuring truffle mascarpone and caramelised onions. Fresh pastas, such as homemade potato gnocchi with mozzarella and lobster linguine, will take centre stage, while the crudo bar will offer delicacies like Sicilian prawns and sea bass carpaccio. Larger sharing dishes, including Milanese and pollo cacciatora, will embody the spirit of generous Italian dining.
Head pastry chef Galileo Reposo has crafted a dessert menu that promises to impress, with signature items like Il Gattopardo’s viral tiramisu and the Roman favourite, Maritozzo. The cocktail bar, inspired by the films of the La Dolce Vita era, will offer a bespoke Negroni menu alongside signature drinks, such as the bold L’Avventura, made with Casamigos Blanco Tequila and chilli honey.
For a more intimate dining experience, guests can opt for the private dining room, Sofia, or the private lounge, Gina, both named after Italian film icons Sofia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida. These exclusive spaces will provide the perfect setting for private events and gatherings.
Open from noon until late, Il Gattopardo Dubai promises to offer not just a dining experience but a lively atmosphere. As the evening progresses, a resident DJ will transform the lounge into a hub of retro Italian hits, capturing the carefree spirit of La Dolce Vita.
