Lucia Marbella has officially opened at the Don Carlos Marbella Hotel, moving from a celebrated seasonal presence to a permanent destination on the Costa del Sol. The opening follows the brand’s debut on La Croisette in Cannes in 2024 and last year’s Lucia Summer Club preview, which drew considerable attention ahead of the full launch.
A refined space

For the launch, Lucia Marbella has introduced a number of additions to the space. Custom sun loungers now surround the pool, furnishings throughout have been updated, and a second bar has been added inside the property’s grotto, set within a cave-like structure just steps from the pool and restaurant.
“The Lucia concept was created to celebrate sunshine, color, music, maximalism, and the joy of coming together in a beautiful space,” said Lucia Penrod, co-founder, owner and CEO of Nikki Beach Hospitality Group. “As we continue to grow the brand, we are drawn to destinations that reflect that same vibrant spirit. Marbella feels like the perfect place for Lucia to flourish. There’s something magical about the Costa del Sol, and we couldn’t imagine a more natural setting to share this next chapter of our story.”
Cuisine du Soleil and the full Lucia Marbella menu

The culinary programme now showcases Lucia’s full menu under Alessandro Pizza, corporate executive chef of Nikki Beach Hospitality Group. Described as Cuisine du Soleil, the approach draws on sun-driven ingredients across the broader Mediterranean, combining the brand’s signature dishes with new creations adapted to the local region. New additions this season include the chicken Milanese cacio e pepe, with breaded corn-fed chicken breast, romaine lettuce, cacio e pepe dressing, crispy bacon, parmesan, and croutons, and the Bisou Baguette, featuring entrecôte beef, tomatoes, honey Dijon, and French-style cornichons.
Lucia Marbella’s programme of experiences
Alongside the dining offering, Lucia Marbella brings a programme of wellness and social events to the Costa del Sol. Carried over from Cannes are Stress Less Pilates and the Community Run Club, while the season also introduces Lucia Sundays, Spanish olive oil tasting workshops, and Tardeo, a Spanish-style aperitivo.
Lucia Marbella is open now and will continue through the end of October. Operating hours run from 11am to 7pm between March and June, extending to 10am to 9pm in July and August.
