Sublime Sand Comporta opens on 1 May, marking the next phase of the Sublime brand’s presence in one of Portugal’s most sought-after coastal destinations. Positioned directly across the street from the original Sublime Terracotta, the new property adds 43 architecturally distinct private villas to the destination, forming a single, interconnected ecosystem alongside its existing offering.
At three times the size of Sublime Terracotta, Sublime Sand introduces a village-like resort format built around families and groups travelling together. The design draws on the same visual language established across the brand, working with raw textures, sun-washed palettes, and sculptural forms, with Comporta’s dunes, rice fields, and Atlantic light as its primary reference points.
A family-first resort built around shared experiences
Sublime Sand Comporta is purposefully designed around communal activities and shared discovery. Complimentary bicycles, multiple swimming pools, and expansive forest trails are all part of the offer, alongside a kids’ club featuring a private pool and dedicated areas for both younger children and teens, with a full programme of activities.
Aqua serves as the social heart of the property, a gathering space built around indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant, and a pool bar, intended to carry guests through from daytime lounging into the evening. The space is designed with a relaxed, unhurried energy that sits in keeping with Comporta’s broader character.

Eight dining concepts now operate across Sublime Comporta as a whole, with Sublime Sand introducing two of its own. Beefbar, the globally recognised restaurant brand known for its design-forward approach to premium beef, brings a convivial dining anchor to the property. Davvero, already well regarded at Sublime Lisboa as one of Portugal‘s most respected Italian restaurants, makes its Comporta debut here, bringing refined Italian cooking, local ingredients, and a polished setting to the destination.
Guests at Sublime Sand Comporta also have full access to the dining at Sublime Terracotta, which includes Canalha, Sem Porta, and Food Circle, as well as the Sublime Beach Club and two village restaurants operated by the group: Sado and Jacaré da Comporta.
