ROKA Mykonos has opened on Paraga Beach, bringing the brand’s contemporary Japanese dining to the Cyclades within the newly launched Hotel Fouquet’s Mykonos. Set above the Aegean, the venue is conceived as a day-to-night destination that moves from poolside and beach lounging through golden-hour drinks to dinner by the sea, with the robata grill and bar at its centre.
The space has been designed to complement rather than compete with its surroundings, with accents of warm amber and ROKA’s signature burnished saffron running through the furnishings and interiors and reading against the blue of the horizon.
A beachside setting built for long summer days

ROKA Mykonos opens out onto an infinity pool and a run of beach beds set just back from the shoreline, giving guests the choice between poolside lounging and a spot closer to the water. Options range from pool deck beds through to floating pool beds and private cabanas on the first beach row, with all-day and shorter sessions across the categories. Curated DJ sessions play through the day and into the evening, carrying the space from slow mornings into the later energy for which the island is known.
The robata grill and signature plates

At the heart of the venue is ROKA’s contemporary Japanese robatayaki, served in an open-air setting. From the robata grill, the menu features whole grilled seabass with shiso pesto and wasabi, baby back pork ribs with sansho and cashew nuts, and the black cod marinated in yuzu miso that has become a fixture across the brand. Alongside the grill sits a spread of sushi and sashimi and a number of ROKA’s signature dishes, among them yellowtail sashimi with a yuzu truffle dressing, wagyu tempura with caramelised onions and chives, and crispy salmon temaki with chilli and yuzu.
The drinks list runs to cold and hot sake, wines, beers and expertly mixed cocktails, with several signature serves created for the Mykonos opening. The Watermelon Spritz, Super Paloma and Sakura75 are designed to carry through from long lunches into sunset aperitifs and dinner, completing the day-to-night arc that defines the venue.
Inside Hotel Fouquet’s Mykonos

ROKA sits within Hotel Fouquet’s Mykonos, an intimate retreat whose features include an indoor swimming pool, unusual on the island, and a basketball court carved directly into the rock. Guests also have access to a Rock Spa drawing on Dr Barbara Sturm’s expertise.
The opening marks the arrival of the Fouquet’s brand in the Aegean, following its houses in Paris, New York, Courchevel and Saint-Barthélemy, and extends the Barrière Collection’s reach into one of the Mediterranean’s most established luxury destinations. ROKA’s Greek presence now spans two islands, following its summer residency in Santorini.
