W Riyadh – KAFD has opened its doors in the Saudi capital, marking the entry of the W Hotels brand into the Kingdom. Part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, the 210-room property sits within King Abdullah Financial District, Riyadh’s financial and lifestyle hub. The arrival brings W Hotels’ global footprint to over 70 destinations, and places W Riyadh – KAFD within walking distance of the district’s offices, residences, retail and cultural venues.
Inside the design of W Riyadh – KAFD

Interiors at W Riyadh – KAFD draw on Saudi heritage across the public and private spaces. Stone and veined marble reference the country’s desert and mountain landscapes, while geometric textiles take their cue from Al Sadu, a traditional Bedouin weaving pattern. The lobby is anchored by a six-metre tapestry, alongside sculptural elements and floor-to-ceiling curtains that reference the early stages of the weaving process.
The W Lounge takes its cues from traditional gathering settings, with circular banquettes and sunken tables informed by Bedouin fire pit arrangements. Guest rooms follow a palette of green, ruby, gold and bronze, and feature bilingual English and Arabic typography wall art.
The 17 suites and two penthouse suites are joined by the 390-square-metre W Penthouse, which includes two bedrooms, separate living and dining areas, a kitchenette, an office and a gym with steam and sauna facilities. A floor-to-ceiling installation of wooden and illuminated spheres within the penthouse references Subha, the traditional prayer beads associated with reflection and mindfulness, while the top-floor suites frame floor-to-ceiling views over downtown Riyadh.
Seven venues spanning day to night

Dining at W Riyadh – KAFD extends across seven restaurants and lounges. Sira is the property’s Latin American-inspired signature restaurant, with dishes cooked over an open fire in an open kitchen and a central bar pouring crafted mocktails. Beni pairs specialty coffee with artisanal ice cream and functions as an informal space for meetings throughout the day. WET Deck occupies the outdoor pool area, offering Mediterranean-inspired menus, private cabanas and poolside seating.
Later this year, Sahari will open as an outdoor lounge designed for scheduled performances and social events. Its name is taken from the Arabic word for staying up late, setting the tone for the late-night programming to come and rounding out a line-up that moves through coffee, poolside lunches and open-fire dinners into after-dark hours.
Wellness, events and a Vision 2030 backdrop

Beyond dining, W Riyadh – KAFD houses the brand’s signature AWAY Spa and the FIT fitness studio. Event facilities stretch across more than 1,000 square metres, taking in 15 flexible meeting rooms and a ballroom configured for a range of business and social uses.
“The opening of W Riyadh – KAFD is a significant moment for the brand as it enters Saudi Arabia and reinforces our commitment to redefining luxury lifestyle hospitality across the Middle East,” said Helen Leighton, Vice President, Luxury Brands, EMEA. “W Hotels has always been rooted in creativity and culture, and W Riyadh – KAFD is an expression of the brand’s design ethos, anticipatory service evolution, and immersive programming.”
Bookings at W Riyadh – KAFD are now open for stays from May 2026. The opening comes as Saudi Arabia targets 150 million annual visitors by 2030 under its Vision 2030 tourism agenda
