Hidden behind a discreet staircase in Burlington Arcade, No Regrets Mayfair is the newest creation from British jeweller Stephen Webster. Known for his rebellious approach to luxury and design, Webster extends his rock ‘n’ roll world into the realm of hospitality with a concept that is as secretive as it is stylish. The speakeasy sits quietly beneath his recently opened boutique in one of London’s most historic shopping arcades, offering a rare combination of privacy and personality.
Far from the bright lights of nearby Bond Street, No Regrets Mayfair invites guests to slow down, sip something well-made, and enjoy the kind of atmosphere that feels both intimate and unpredictable. The space channels the moody glamour of old London with a contemporary twist, designed for those who appreciate good company, a strong drink, and a sense of discovery hidden in plain sight.
A hidden den beneath Burlington Arcade

Access to No Regrets Mayfair comes through a narrow staircase at the back of Webster’s boutique, a fitting entrance for a place that thrives on secrecy. There is no website, no Instagram, and no reservations line. The jeweller himself says this elusiveness is part of the appeal: “People like that it’s a bit secret. They think, ‘we can disappear here,’” he explains.
Inside, the ambience is dark and richly layered. Candlelight flickers across velvet banquettes and deep red walls, creating a sense of theatre. Playful details, such as the golden toilet and iced mini martinis served on engraved silver trays, mirror Webster’s love for eccentric artistry and fine craftsmanship.
A collaboration of British icons

The No Regrets Mayfair concept brings together three British veterans: chef Mark Hix, bartender Nick Strangeway, and mixologist Stu Bale, known for his work at Crucible. Their collaboration gives the bar its culinary and cocktail identity, balancing wit with precision.
Signature serves include a sour cherry-spiked negroni and an English take on the margarita made with blackcurrant and lemon verbena. Every drink is crafted with clarity and served in fine glassware, paired with a concise menu of refined snacks. These range from caviar with blinis and sausage rolls to Hix’s smoked trout with soda bread, all sourced from respected British producers such as Pleasantland and Capreolus.

Part of what defines No Regrets Mayfair is its scale. With only a few tables, the bar feels less like a venue and more like a gathering of friends. A record player spins Webster’s own vinyl collection, moving through rock, reggae, and Motown, while guests are encouraged to browse, request, or bring their own records.
Webster’s design sensibility extends beyond the walls. A display cabinet holds pieces from his jewellery collections worn by Steven Tyler, Madonna, and Elton John, alongside his ornate barware and knives. It reflects the world he has built across decades of craftsmanship and creativity. Officially open from 2pm to 7pm, Tuesday through Friday, the bar often slips into unplanned lock-ins that blur the line between evening and night.
