Scalini Dubai has reopened at Restaurant Village, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, returning after a renovation that reworks the room as a contemporary reading of the traditional Italian trattoria, keeping the warmth, familiarity and social spirit that have long defined the restaurant while introducing a Mediterranean design language across the dining room and the terrace.
A familiar identity in a renewed setting
The restaurant describes its next chapter as an intention to evolve while remaining true to its identity, and the signature blue and yellow tones return as the defining elements of the visual story, layered with crisp ivory, striped fabrics and deep navy accents drawn from Italy’s coastline and its best known seaside destinations.
Within the main dining room, a coffered ceiling with natural textured inserts, warm timber finishes and plush blue velvet seating shape an atmosphere that is elegant and inviting in equal measure, while the open kitchen takes centre stage and offers a glimpse into the craft and ritual behind each dish.
The veranda carries the experience outdoors beneath a white pergola, framed by flourishing citrus trees, traditional lanterns, woven chairs and striped textiles that draw on the shaded courtyards and coastal terraces of the Amalfi Coast, Sicily and the Italian Riviera, while handcrafted Sicilian-inspired majolica tiles in intricate blue patterns mark the entrance and reference Italy’s decorative traditions.

The renewed menu follows the same considered approach, honouring tradition while allowing the quality of each ingredient to take centre stage in a style of Italian cooking built on simplicity, generosity and craftsmanship. Among the signatures is Crudo di Gamberi Rossi di Mazara, a tribute to Sicily built around raw red prawns from Mazara del Vallo with yellow Datterino tomatoes, Sicilian white grape vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, basil and a gentle touch of fresh chilli.
“Scalini Dubai’s next chapter is rooted in the belief that Italian cooking is most powerful when exceptional ingredients are allowed to speak for themselves,” says Francesco Cortorillo, executive chef at Scalini Dubai. “Each dish honours its origins while bringing the warmth, theatre and generosity that define the Scalini experience to the table.”
Tartara di Manzo brings the restaurant’s tableside theatre to a timeless classic, with beef tartare prepared in front of guests using two varieties of mustard, capers, fresh chives and extra virgin olive oil, while Linguine alla Nerano rests on time-honoured technique, with gently fried courgettes, fresh basil and Provolone del Monaco finished slowly with the pasta. Insalata di Gamberi e Asparagi offers a lighter expression of the Mediterranean through grilled prawns, white and green asparagus and avocado.
