Aman has unveiled its sixth United States property and its first ranch-inspired retreat. Set within the rolling hills of Texas Hill Country, northwest of Austin, Amansanu marks a new direction for the brand nearly four decades after its founding in 1988. The name, drawn from Sanskrit, translates as ‘peaceful peak’, a reference to the terrain of limestone cliffs, winding creeks and expansive valleys, carved over millennia, that frames the property.
A new chapter in the Americas
The announcement extends Aman’s American footprint across four distinct landscapes. Amangiri reads the desert of southern Utah. Amangani occupies the mountain terrain of Jackson Hole. Aman New York anchors the brand in Manhattan. Amansanu adds the ranch. It also arrives within one of the most concentrated expansion phases in the brand’s history, joining forthcoming openings in Mexico (Amanvari, due summer 2026), Los Angeles (Aman Beverly Hills), Miami Beach and the Bahamas (Amancaya).
An architecture in dialogue with the land

The resort comprises a collection of standalone pavilions alongside a limited offering of Aman-branded residences. The architecture is conceived as a contemporary reading of the regional vernacular, with structures positioned to follow the contours of the land and frame expansive views across the valleys beyond. Every vantage point has been calibrated for seclusion and privacy, with shifting light and seasonal colour animating the setting through the course of the day and year. The property sits within reach of Austin while feeling, by design, entirely removed from it.
Resort, ranch and residences
A Main Lodge anchors the resort, joined by several dining concepts and an Aman Spa and Wellness Centre set along the property’s natural creek. Racquet sports courts and extensive hiking trails thread through the surrounding hills. Amansanu also introduces Aman’s first fully serviced stables, establishing the brand’s interpretation of the contemporary ranch experience.
The residences occupy hillside sites starting at ten acres, each designed in harmony with the resort’s architectural vision. Open-plan living spaces, natural materials and expansive terraces draw the homes into the surrounding landscape, ensuring privacy and uninterrupted views across the valleys.
A wider evolution for the brand
Vlad Doronin, chairman and chief executive of Aman Group, commented: “Aman’s presence in the United States, with Amangiri, Amangani and Aman New York, reflects our focus on creating rare sanctuaries in destinations defined by natural beauty and cultural depth.
“Texas Hill Country embodies these qualities, with rolling landscapes and an independent spirit which aligns closely with Aman’s philosophy. Amansanu represents a meaningful evolution for Aman in the Americas, introducing a new expression of the brand while preserving the peace, privacy and connection to its surroundings that defines each of our destinations.”
Amansanu joins a wider Aman portfolio that now spans more than 35 properties and branded residences across 20 destinations worldwide. An opening date has not yet been disclosed.
